Hi there,

With Thanksgiving around the corner, we're all thinking about gratitude — but here's something most people miss: gratitude isn't just a feel-good practice. It's a career strategy.

The most successful, grounded professionals don't just hustle harder — they pause, reflect, and recognize what's working. They appreciate the mentors who showed up, the lessons learned from setbacks, and the progress they've made (even when it feels small).

This week, let's talk about how gratitude can actually move your career forward.

🎁 Holiday Gift Idea: Give the Gift of Clarity

Know someone navigating a career transition, job search, or just feeling stuck? The DISC Assessment + 1:1 Coaching Session ($250) makes a thoughtful, transformational gift.

It's perfect for recent grads, career pivoters, or anyone who needs a clearer sense of direction heading into the new year.

🙏 Career Gratitude Practice: The "Thank You" Audit

Before the holiday chaos kicks in, take 10 minutes to reflect:

Who has supported your career journey this year?

  • A mentor who gave you honest feedback
  • A colleague who vouched for you
  • A professor who wrote a recommendation letter
  • A friend who talked you through a tough decision

Action step: Send one genuine thank-you message this week. Not a generic "thanks for everything" — be specific. Tell them what they did and how it helped you.

Example: "I wanted to thank you for taking the time to review my resume in September. Your feedback on my experience section helped me land two interviews. I really appreciate you."

These small gestures build relationships that last — and strong relationships are what open doors in your career.

✨ Reframe the Setbacks: What Did 2025 Teach You?

Gratitude isn't just about the wins. It's also about recognizing the growth that came from the hard stuff.

Think about a moment this year that didn't go as planned:

--> A rejection

--> A project that flopped

--> A conversation that went sideways

Now ask yourself: What did that moment teach me about myself, my resilience, or what I actually want?

Sometimes the things we're least grateful for in the moment become the lessons we're most grateful for later.

🧠 Together+Her Reminder: You're Not Behind

If 2025 didn't turn out the way you planned — if you're still searching for the right role, still figuring out your next move, or still working through what you even want — you're not behind.

Career journeys aren't linear. Some years are about building. Some are about learning. Some are about surviving and regrouping.

All of it counts. All of it matters.

Give yourself permission to honor where you are right now — and trust that clarity is coming.

💫 Remember

Gratitude doesn't mean pretending everything is perfect. It means recognizing the growth, the people, and the lessons that got you here.

Take a breath. Acknowledge how far you've come. And trust that the next chapter is already unfolding.

Wishing you a restful, restorative Thanksgiving,

🩷 Tricia & Zoe
