It’s Still Summer—But My Anxiety’s Already in August

Summer isn’t over yet, but your brain is already scheduling Zoom calls and midterms.

Let’s talk about how to stop fast-forwarding your life.

But before we do…

☀️ Quick question: Have you locked in your internship references?
If you wrapped up a summer internship recently, now’s the ideal time to ask for a reference.

You can request a written one on company letterhead, or check in with your manager to see if they’d be open to being a future reference. It’s a simple but powerful way to set yourself up for success—before you get swept into fall.

It’s that strange in-between season. You’re sipping iced matcha under the sun, but your thoughts?

They’re racing three weeks ahead—into school schedules, inbox dread, and a hundred tiny what-ifs you haven’t written down yet.

You’re not alone.

This time of year can stir something inside us—like our brains have already jumped to the next chapter before we’ve finished the current one. It’s that quiet pressure to have a “plan.” To hit the ground running. To know exactly what’s next.

But here’s the thing:

✨ You don’t have to have it all figured out.
🌻 It’s safe to slow down.
🧘‍♀️ Prepping for fall doesn’t require panic-mode energy.

You’re allowed to pause in the middle.

Instead of spiraling into what’s coming, anchor into what is.

Set aside 15 minutes this week to journal on this one question:
👉 “If I wasn’t trying to rush ahead… what would I actually enjoy about this season I’m in?”

Write whatever comes up. No rules. No judgment.

Maybe it’s the way the light hits your room in the evening.

Or how a certain song makes you feel calm again.

Or just the joy of being in a tank top and sandals for another week.

Summer isn’t gone yet. And neither is your sense of peace. You just have to reclaim it.

More slow, more softness. You’ve got time.

📌 Still Feeling Stuck? Let’s Make Space for Clarity

If your brain is buzzing and you’re craving some kind of plan (without the spiral), I’ve got you.

🌴 Final Reminder:

You’re already becoming her.
